Destroyed building near summit

Do you know if that was a fire lookout and if so, any info?

It was an old reception transmission station with the big drums etc.
BTW- is the regular route up Sonoma Mtn. got any views and is it open these days?
I hiked it way back in the 90's and can't remember.

Thanks and no the views aren't that great. Basically a flat summit, and I believe it is open. There is a sign that it's part of Sonoma Land Trust which I believe is a group that preserves open space for the public. The wire fence is still there but a somewhat worn trail is visible. Along the way there are some nice views but the Goodspeed Trail up to Hood and Gunsite is better in my opinion.
