Tough to do this route well in crappy weather good choice to turn around. I keep telling people glaciers are easier to travel on then the rock and the talus, and the trip to glacier gap shows that.
Very true - lots and lots of unsettled large talus in the former glacial area - felt much more at ease on the glacier. Thanks to all for the comments.
