Thanks for your kind words. Most climbers in the Cordillera Blanca wear hard plastics for warmth and functionality above 6k. I have some Grivel lightweight universal crampons. You can rent boots and crampons in Huaraz, but I'd verify this if you aren't bringing your own. Have fun! I'm longing to go back.
