Wiesbachhorn via Kaindl ridge
Grosses Wiesbachhorn (3.564 m) is one of the top 10 highest mountains in Austria and it is sometimes called the "rival" of Grossglockner.
Anyway it is one of the most beautiful mountains in the range of "Hohe Tauern" and always worth a climb.
The normal route is a classical route in the Austrian alps, which is not too difficult and offers a nice snow-ridge - called
"Kaindlgrat" (Kaindl ridge), sometimes as well referred to as "Small Bianco ridge" - and some mixed terrain (rock, snow/ice) in the upper part. The maximum steepness is 35°.
I did this route on the 7th (ascent to the hut "Heinrich Schwaiger Haus") and 8th (summit, descent) of July 2007 together with my climbing partner and girlfriend Irene.
This album is a collection of the best photos taken during this weekend, just to have the possibility of viewing them at a glance and because there is no Album attached to Wiesbachhorn, yet.
