From end of Snook's lake scramble down slightly E (left) to small lake about 400 ' down. Some cairns, switchbacking on ledges. At small lake, continue East, (NOT down to Wells Creek and Scott lake). Stay high on climbers left above Wells Cr down this higher ravine/valley heading East towards Gannett and long skinny lake that feeds Wells Creek. Head towards this lake, Tarn Lake.
