A few days in the area  Sucess!

After a night at Alltbeithe I traversed the unpronounceable Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan. I hiked out to the west coast via Gleann Choinneachain, camping somewhere along the way.

Four visits in 2017   Sucess!

With no trips abroad planned for 2017 I did something I have been meaning to do for around 30 years and visited Glen Affric to do some winter mountaineering in February. We climbed Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan west top, Mam Sodhail 2nd highest in range at 1181m and about 3 tops. I returned on my own in June and having climbed Mam Sodhail again, this time reached top of highest in the range Carn Eighe 1183m and continued on down the range over 4 'tops' as far as Tom a’Choinich 1112m in one 12 hour day covering about 17 miles and climbing around 1600m in the process. By this time I had fallen in love with the area and had already decided I wanted to visit in the two remaining seasons of high summer and autumn. I had in mind writing this page at the end of it all.
