Lodnerferner up, Andelsferner down  Sucess!

I ascended the normal route from the Lodner Hütte over the Lodnerferner. As I started out, my plan was to return the same way, but the conditions were excellent, it wasn't very late, and I felt energetic. So I changed my plan and looked for a different way down.
I wanted to get to the Andelsboden, to the east, for I knew that from there I could easily get back to the hut. But the mountain was far too steep that way. I had not brought my guidebook, so I had to figure it out for myself. After descending the crux to the shoulder north of the summit, I found a fine snow filled couloir going down to the Andelsferner to the northeast. In normal years, there wouldn't have been any snow left by mid July, so I was lucky.
