Route Description
Leaving the chalet following yellow marks, we start to climb north-west through dwarf-mountain pine fields of a steep 250 metre high
threshold of Cervena Valley first on the right side then traversing to the middle .
At the height of 1710-1750 we cross over the rocky moraine into the rocky wilderness of Cervena Valley .
Turning the head back great view towards Lomnica(2632) and Kezmarsky Stit(2558) massifs with well seen in Medena Kotlina hollow
the greatest Tatra eternal snowfield .
Passing small Cervene Pleso lake we walk up grassy and scree slopes of Jastrabia Veza(2137) crag and Kopinaky situated on the left .
Traversing huge screes we climb higher and higher by the left side of the valley, in the end turning widely right till we reach a rocky place
with 10 metre high steep and smooth granite wall which we overcome with a help of a chain (the most demanding point of the whole route) .
Climbing in steep rocky terrain we finally reach the area of the saddle of Kolove Sedlo pass(2092) separating massifs of Jahnaci(2229) and Kolovy(2418) peaks, the route reaches the ridges a bit higher (2118) - 5 minutes from the pass (1 3/4 h from the chalet) . Great view to the west .
Behind the pass we turn north climbing just below the edge of the ridge on the Kolova Valley side crossing a few rocky ribs
and reaching the last saddle of the ridge after which we enter easily the main summit area ( 2 1/2 h from the chalet) .
Wonderful summit panorama in all directions .
