Explanation

I was looking at some AVO webcams earlier and thought that it might be nice to have a page full of webcam images of mountains I was interested in that updated themselves so I didn't have to keep digging around for them elsewhere. It's also quite nice to have a window on the world. It's currently full of volcanoes, mostly active ones but we'll see how it progresses. You can often see plumes from some of these. Note that due to various factors like bad weather, night time, extreme latitudes and generally breakage it may not be possible to see anything on a lot of these for a lot of the time. Some mountains have webcams but are too far away to make them of much interest. I will try to have a broad range of locations so there's always something to look at.

Working but variable image link

Essentially the webcams are operational but the image file doesn't have a consistent name so the most up to date image can't be displayed here. Click the links to see the most recent pictures.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
