I know that creating an Album about my garden is a bit off topic. But I have two excuses:

1) It is on the southern slopes of the Mecsek Mountains

2) I tried to make it similar to a forest park. Now, apart from fruit-trees there are many species of trees:
- English oak (Quercus robur)
- Sessile oak (Quercus petraea)
- Northern red oak (Quercus borealis)
- Downy Oak (Quercus pubescens)
- Common hornbeam (Carpinus betulus)
- Black poplar (Populus nigra)
- Chestnut (Castanea sativa)
- Persian walnut (Juglans regia)
- Bird cherry (Prunus avium)
- Field maple (Acer campestre)
- Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris)
- Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii)
- Norway spruce (Picea abies)
- Blue spruce (Picea pungens)
- Common Juniper (Juniperus communis)
- Lawson's Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana)

- Bearberry Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster dammeri)
- Cotoneaster horizontalis
- Firethorn (Pyracantha coccinea)
- Dog rose (Rosa canina)
- Common blackberry (Rubus fruticosus)
- Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa)
- Black Elder (Sambucus nigra)
- European cornel (Cornus mas)
- European spindle (Euonymus europaeus)
- Common lilac (Syringa vulgaris)
- Trumpet vine (Campsis radicans)
- Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus)
- Common privet (Ligustrum vulgare)

Besides these trees and shrubs there are many other plants and flowers. And there are 7 species of edible mushrooms, too. About the fauna: besides insects, butterflies, moths and birds also a few mammals live here or are visitors here: hedgehogs, moles, red squirrels and bats. And a few months ago I met a few wild boars in the garden, too!

Of course I love this garden!

Impressive..

collection of trees, fungi and critters in your beautiful garden. I am willing to bet that there's a worm snake or two hiding in there somewhere?

Re: Impressive..

I haven't seen any wormsnake yet, but lizards yes (mainly in the mouth of our cat) ;)

I'm not surprised...

..that you love your garden! It's beautiful and must reflect hours of dedicated work too.

Re: I'm not surprised...

Yes, it requires some work every week. From this aspect the forested part is better: it's like a forest so not much to do there...

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
