you dead bird folks....
keep paying for the neat logo....but this jacket beats those that cost half again this much hands down....in terms of functionality and durability per gram. OR does the arm pit right. Down to the bottom, easy to push and pull and ability to truly regulate sweat with greater air flow, which is critical. Hard core Gore tex jacket at 17 ounces..unreal. Super fit, but like all OR, I wear a small, 5'11" and 150lbs. Neat roll down snap on the hood. Also rear single pull that gets it tight on your helmet quickly. I believe this to be the perfect technical lightweight jacket of our time, downhill from here.

Doesn't get much better
I was out for a very wet (and somewhat windy) 6 day trip on Mount Shuksan this May, and couldn't have asked for a better shell. Very easy to move in. The pit zippers could be a bit bigger, as they weren't very easy to operate with mittens on, but that's my only complaint.
