Worth it
these are nice to have you your not on the mountain..ie when your traveling to and from. On a pack, I find that they get in the way

Need it..
I poped a hole in my friends pack once on a trip. Stoped for gas and noticed that it had worked its way throu his pack. Dint hurt anything so no prob there. Will not happen again. I got one now..

Not sure
I'm not convinced that I like this. It doesn't seem to fit all axes the same ways and will sometimes fall off. It does work well if it fits though.
