In 1957, two teams climbed the north wall of the Eiger. Not far along there journey they were heading into disaster. All over Europe rescue teams raced to the north wall and formed one of the best rescues in mountaineering history but it is still quite a mystery to what happened on that day.
This shows the heroic acts done by the rescue teams that helped some of them but could not get to the others in time.
