With Indio the dog!
An acclimatisation ascent for me and Jon in preparation for the big mountains made from Refugio by same name at 2800m - so some 1350m of ascent. Set out from refugio early and followed by Indio the refugio dog - who just kept on coming - all the way to the top! [Allegedly Indio has climbed many summits including Plata highest in the range, which we climbed about 10 days later] Loved the mountain and loved Indio - who I have to say is 2nd best dog in the world after Mr Woof - my golden retriever. Summit in cloud so not much of a view - but company made up for that. Close encounter with a guanacos later - strangely Indio objected and barked until the beast moved on.

Normal
According to my diary, it was Thursday Dec 1st. Climbed with Nadios, Corax, David, Christian, Klaus, Karl, Anders & Remo. Clouds were coming in and out. Got some great video footage. Everyone made it to the top. Fun climb!

Enjoyable peak, approx. class 2 - class 3 rock. Start from San Bernando refuge or a much shorter trek if start in Las Vegas camp. Much better weather than higher peaks in Cordon del Plata. Windy but sunny. Highly recommend.
