Well, Mark............

sometimes these trips don't quite follow the script we've written in our head. But, in a sense, that's the adventure and that's why we do them.!!
Great report and photos-Thanks for sharing!

Re: Well, Mark............

Yeah Bill, I took a mental inventory of all my trips out west dating back to 2005. Only 2012 went mostly as planned. The rest definitely did not follow the script I had written in my head. Funny how I still have so many awesome memories from those other adventures though...LOL! How does that phrase go..."Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans."

The Enchantments are definitely worth a visit. Take care...

Eleven children ?

Man oh man, that'd drive me crazy. The "other" saying is:
"The journey is worth far more than the destination."

But, in this case, the destination was enchanted! Great trip report, Mark !!! The sun is always shining ... somewhere.

Re: Eleven children ?

Yeah, there was never a dull moment in the house! Wonder if there is any connection to growing up in a crowded house with now wanting solitude? Hmmm.

Like Buffet sings..."everywhere you go you always take the weather with you".

Re: Eleven children ?

Interesting ... if you happened to see Mount Rainier or Glacier Pk. during your travels, remember that a Cascade strato-volcano always
has the awesome power to make its OWN weather.

That's why you should always bring slickers and rain pancho, but
NEVER Pancho Villa.
