Tim Macartney-Snape in 1987
Tim Macartney-Snape was one of the two first Australians to climb Everest and without Oxygen in 1984 - and then first to climb from sea level to the top of Everest in 1990. Seen here in Paiju circa 31/7/87 with (unsuccessful) British Broad Peak team himself after an also abortive attempt on K2 - we walked out together.
