Ladakh: Trek in the "Land of high passes"

Ladakh - "Land of the high passes" (Wikipedia)

This trek was undertaken as an acclimatisation trek for an attempt on Stok Kangri (6153m).

Approaching the mountain from the south east, we crossed two high passes on the way to the Stok valley.

Unfortunately, Marie and I both caught a cold/chest infection between London and Leh and never really acclimatised during the whole trip. Consequently, we didn't make an attempt on the summit.

7 out of our original group of 11 made it to the top.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
