The forested summit of Kneifelspitze (1189m) is heightwise very modest in comparison with the bulk of the peaks surrounding Berchtesgaden, but it is nevertheless a place that offers wonderful views to the whole area south of Berchtesgaden and also great views towards the Untersberg and Salzburg and it's surroundings in the north. It takes about an hour and a half to walk up it from Maria Gern near Berchtesgaden, and there is a restaurant with excellent food on top.In this album I enclose some pics I took in January 2010 and in October 2011.
