Overview

One of the many possible ski descents from the summit of Salatin.
Starting point: ski center Spálená dolina. From there follow the ski slopes to the end station of the ski lift. From there follow Salatínska dolina to the base of Salatín. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough snow covering, so it was real torture to fight our way through areas of dwarf pines. Once being at the base of Salatín, turn left, to the direction of the saddle between two summits of Salatin. By traversing the NE slopes of Salatín you can easily reach this saddle between two summits of Salatín - SE, Malý Salatín (2046 m) and NW, main summit (2048 m). Ski back the same route you went up.
Easy skiing, up to 35°.
Another nice variant is to ski Strmý žľab, from NW summit of Salatín (up to 42°).
